Auto-Trade had a humble start in 1992 with a specific principle of distributing only utmost quality replacement parts used on
forklifts at affordable price. Mr. Teo Luan Goon, Managing Director,
started repairing Toyota Forklifts with Toyota's authorized distributor
in 1983-1988 and later moved on to Komatsu's authorized
distributor, selling brand new units of Forklifts during 1988-1992.
It was during these sales experiences; Mr. Teo understood that
most of the time, customers were left with limited choices when
it comes to maintenance of forklifts & purchase of forklift spare
parts in which he envisioned as an opportunity.

There was imbalance between Quality & Price. During that time,
there were cheap but inconsistent & low grade replacement parts
in the almost monopolized market in Singapore while highly
priced genuine parts were being offered by various authorized
distributors of Japanese brand forklift makers.

Today, WORLDWIDE, this imbalance still exists and we remain
committed & adhere to this founding principle whereby sourcing worldwide, contracting satellite factories, stringent quality control, representing only established brands, next day delivery; all of which will continue, allowing us to ensure our professionalism in filling up of this vacuum in the forklift
replacement parts business.
